Fort Marlborough, Indonesia

Fort Marlborough Bengkulu. After approximately 140 years the British Government was in Bengkulu, they left many "legacy" historic relics. One is Fort Marlborough. Marlborough is a sturdy fortress heritage building built in the 1713 UK until 1719 during the leadership of Governor Joseph Collet.
The name of the fort was using the name of a British nobleman and hero, namely John Churchill, Duke of Marlborough I. The fort is considered the largest in Asia. Heritage has a great appeal because of its rarity. This fort was once the center of British colonial rule which controls Bengkulu province for about 140 years (1685-1825).
So this castle still has a shape corresponding to the original design of 17th-century building. It is an attraction that is rarely found elsewhere. The site area of Marlborough Castle is located in a region with natural beach attractions, namely Coast Tread Padri. Thus providing a blend of natural and cultural attractions. Completeness of this area as a tourist attraction can be a great potential to be a leading tourist attraction for the city of Bengkulu.
