Batik Museum, Indonesia


Batik museum has become one of national assets and are managed directly by the government central and local government does not belong. According to statistical data of visitors, there are monthly average  about 150 people visit this place, and pretty much in demand by tourists foreign. At the front of the museum we will be directly served by the library and a shop batik who peddle trinkets museum batik.

In this museum there are 4 exhibition hall, library and there is room display. Main Gallery space featuring an overview of batik, of the author and the various ancient batik, batik from Indonesia and beyond which, according to the story to come from India. The second showroom is Batik Nusantara Room. Here is shown a typical batik batik from areas throughout Indonesia. The plan would create a theme in the area once every 6 months, coincidence that we saw yesterday was the theme of Pekalongan batik. The third showroom is Batik Interior Spaces, featuring the interior of the house with the basic material of batik, but there are also a citizen of batik collections  Australia named Digby Mackintosh who donated to the Museum Batik Pekalongan.

Showroom last is IwanTirta Room, contains a variety of batik cloth results Iwan Tirta work of a designer who has a love of Indonesian batik.  After the satisfaction of seeing a wide range of batik, we are allowed to see the demonstration process  Batik-making, whether written or stamped batik Services at the Museum is quite interesting, and guidenya also mastered the material exhibited, so if we want to get information, does not disappoint. Also in this museum are open to the public library with a collection of fairly complete knowledge of batik.
